Humour

I wanted to write a more heavier post. Two topics that swirl in my mind are the relation between Gandhi and Bose and the other is about livin in America. But instead, will write on something much lighter- humour.

Someone rightly said that wit/sense of humour is a good indicator of a person. There are all kinds of humour. Clever, dry/sarcastic, obscure, raunchy, slapstick etc. And our type of humour also tells a lot about us.

Many intellectual people prefer a dry/sarcastic humour. Cant blame them, its their birthright. But what bugs me sometimes is when they think that is the only type of humour which is worthy and the rest are silly and below them. Many times ppl take that being cynical is a show of their intellect. I have used that humour many times myself if it doesnt harm if the other guy thinks that I am pompous fellow. After all you have the last laugh!

But humour is also strongly triggered by our emotions and how we feel towards some people. I noticed that one of my friend who usually has a rather dry humour, uses a different humourous style when he is talking to his girl. Just an example but that was what got me to write this post.
