Sufism is the biggest saviour that will be there for the subcontinent. It has all the elements which appeals to the eclectic in me. It fuses together the elements of both the Islamic ideals as well as the spiritual side of Hinduism.
Who is a sufi? I grant that anyone who thinks that there is something more than the casual effect and relationship is a sufi. He/She is a mystic. Doesnt think of the world in a purely practical sense. Attaches importance to the internal life and to the hidden symbols existing in our daily life.
I am a sufi by this definition for sure and the sufis can bring out some damn good music.
